Earned first-team All-State and County Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2004

Recruited by University of Wisconsin

2005 - 2009

Was a three-year starter as weak-side line backer at University of Wisconsin, receiving All-Big Ten honorable mention selection during his final three years

Signing with the Saints


Signed with the Saints as an un-drafted rookie free agent in 2009.

NFL Debut

December 27, 2009

Made first NFL start vs.Tampa Bay, Dec. 27, 2009 and tied for team lead with 10 tackles (seven solo).

Winning the Super Bowl

February 7, 2010

Helped the Saints win their first Super Bowl title in franchise history in his first season, recovering a pivotal third-quarter onside kick for the Saints in their 31-17 Super Bowl XLIV victory over the Indianapolis Colts

Out for the Season

September 4, 2010

Missed the entire 2010 season following a foot injury suffered in the preseason finale…placed on the Reserve/Injured List.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

March 13, 2013

Signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an unrestricted free agent.

New England Patriots

October 28, 2014

Casillas, along with a 2015 6th round draft pick, was traded to the New England Patriots for the Patriot's 2015 5th round draft pick.

Second Super Bowl

February 1, 2015

Casillas won his 2nd Super Bowl ring when the Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX.
